LLDPE Fushun Petrochemical DFDA‑7042N

LLDPE Fushun Petrochemical DFDA‑7042N Resin

Material Introduction: LLDPE Fushun Petrochemical DFDA‑7042N is a well‑balanced film‑grade linear low‑density polyethylene. Featuring good toughness, balanced mechanical properties and processability, it is an ideal candidate for various packaging films.

Main Applications

Packaging films: daily‑commodity packaging films, stretch wrap films, inner liner films.

Agricultural films: farm mulch films.

Blending component: used as blending raw material.

Performance Parameters

Performance Category Test Item Test Method / Condition Value & Unit Remarks & Interpretation
Basic Properties Density ASTM D1505 0.920±0.003 g/cm³ Typical density range for LLDPE.
Melt Flow Rate (MFR) ASTM D1238 (190°C/2.16 kg) 2.0±0.5 g/10min Good melt flowability, suitable for film processing.
Mechanical Properties Tensile Yield Stress ISO 527 ≥10 MPa Indicator of tensile‑deformation resistance.
Tensile Strength at Break ISO 527 ≥4 MPa Maximum stress the material can withstand before fracture.
Nominal Tensile Strain at Break ISO 527 ≥100 % Good toughness and ductility; tolerates large deformation without fracture.
Film Appearance Fish‑eye (0.8 mm) ≤8 pcs / 1520 cm² Film quality indicator; lower value means better uniformity and fewer impurities.
  Fish‑eye (0.4 mm) ≤40 pcs / 1520 cm² Same interpretation as above.

Blown‑Film Processing

For mainstream blown‑film extrusion, temperature, pressure and other parameters shall be optimized according to equipment, film thickness and performance requirements.

‑ Extrusion Temperature: Typical extrusion temperature for LDPE blown‑film is 160‑170 °C with uniform die‑head temperature required. Excessively high temperature leads to resin degradation and brittle film; insufficient temperature results in poor plasticization, low tensile strength, poor gloss and transparency, wood‑grain‑like patterns and unmelted crystal nuclei (fish‑eyes). ‑ Blow‑up ratio: Key process parameter, defined as ratio of bubble diameter to annular die diameter. Higher blow‑up ratio improves transverse strength, yet excessive value will cause bubble instability and film wrinkles. For PE anti‑drip greenhouse film, blow‑up ratio is controlled within 2‑4. ‑ Screw Speed: For PE anti‑drip greenhouse film production, screw speed is set at 30‑50 r/min.

Blown‑Film Processing Notes

Shear sensitivity: LLDPE has narrow molecular‑weight distribution and short side‑chains with low shear sensitivity. It maintains higher viscosity under shearing conditions such as extrusion, making it more difficult to process than LDPE with identical melt flow rate. ‑ Equipment requirements: Extruders for LLDPE may require higher driving power, higher melt temperature and pressure. Die gap shall be widened (e.g. from LDPE 0.024‑0.040 inch to 0.060‑0.10 inch) to avoid excessive back‑pressure and melt fracture. ‑ Bubble stability: LLDPE blown‑film bubble stability is inferior to LDPE. Dual‑lip air ring is recommended to improve cooling and bubble stability. ‑ Blending for better processability: Many film producers blend LLDPE with LDPE (e.g. 50 % each) to optimize processability and raise output capacity.
